Hi, I’m N283T.

I’m a PhD student, mostly doing research in structural bioinformatics and chemoinformatics.

My goal as a researcher this year is to “get better at sharing my work”, so I finally built the personal site I’d been wanting for a while: https://n283t.dev !!

I’d wanted to do this for ages but never had the skills to pull it off. Thanks to AI Agents like Claude Code, it turned out to be surprisingly easy to build something nice-looking. Amazing times.

How does it look? I think it came out pretty cute, colors and all.

The site is built with:

  • Astro 7
  • Tailwind CSS v4
  • TypeScript
  • Cloudflare Workers Static Assets
  • View Transitions / i18n
  • Fonts: Klee One / Zen Maru Gothic / DotGothic16 / PlemolJP

I don’t really get most of it, but it turned out great.

Actually I’d been deploying on GitHub Pages for the past few days, but since I figured I might as well learn something new, I moved everything over to Cloudflare Workers. And while I was at it, I ended up buying the domain n283t.dev too.

Cloudflare is way more useful than I expected. Looks like there’s a lot I can do with it. Kind of excited.

About the hero art

The hero on the Home page (or is it the logo?) was made by me with a mix of ChatGPT’s image model and Affinity.

I even bothered to make separate versions for dark and light mode.

Affinity is way too good to be free, honestly. I’ve started using it for conference posters too these days.
